A key focus of the episode is the Growth Impact Fund, UnLtd’s pioneering social investment vehicle. Mark is Chief Executive of UnLtd, the UK’s leading foundation for social entrepreneurs. UnLtd finds, funds and supports 200 social innovators and leaders every year, harnessing its £160 million endowment to take them from start up to early growth. These social entrepreneurs improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people every year.
Mark is incoming Chair of ACEVO (inspiring and supporting UK civil society leaders) and is Chair of The New School – a pioneer in education. Mark is a member of the Impact Investing Institute’s Advisory Council and was Co-Chair of the UK Government’s Inclusive Economy Partnership.
Mark has 30 years’ experience in education, healthcare and social entrepreneurship. He has been CEO of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust’s charity, CW+, a Partner at Leaders’ Quest and directed the Global Executive MBA at INSEAD. Throughout his career Mark has had a passion for purpose-driven leadership and people development.
